Australian born actor, Heath Ledger was found dead in his Manhattan apartment on Tuesday afternoon. NYPD spokesman reported that Ledger had an appointment for a massage at his place of residence. The house keeper went to tell the actor that the masseuse had arrived, when she found him dead at 3:26pm. Police are reporting that drugs may have been a factor in the Ledger's death as they found pills near his body.
Heath Ledger has one daughter, Matilda, with ex-wife, Michelle Williams. The couple split up last year after meeting on the set of Brokeback Mountain.
Ledger will be seen in one last movie, playing the Joker, in the Batman sequel, The Dark Knight.
